Global Village

The Global Village is situated in Dubailand, just east of Arabian Ranches. It is a seasonal attraction and shopping extravaganza held in the cooler winter months. Each year it grows in popularity, and over five million people are expected to attend this year.

Thirty massive pavilions feature, each showcasing national handicrafts, merchandise and cuisines of its particular country. Visitors meander and shop, and when it is time to rest, enjoy food from many different cuisines.

It’s not all shopping and eating however. There is a fun fair offering a number of rides for both adults and children (dodgem cars, roller coasters, ferris wheels and more) and a canal with traditional abras. Daily events include a fireworks display, a musical fountains show, plus numerous dance and music shows.

Onsite facilities include a foreign exchange kiosk, ATMs, an information desk and toilets. Free WiFi is available across the site.

Admission fees are small (15AED for 2015), and entrance is free for children under three years old, seniors and special needs visitors (fairground rides cost extra). Plenty of free car parking spaces are available.
