Cooling towers in Dubai are used in a number of sectors such as oil refineries, petrochemical, chemical plants, HVAC systems for cooling buildings, thermal power stations. The cooling towers work by extracting waste heat from atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to low temperature. Cooling towers come in different sizes, from small roof-top units to very large hyperboloid structures. Dry cooling towers depend on heat transfer through a surface that separates the working fluid from ambient air. Wet cooling towers use evaporative cooling.
