Gulf Energy Limited (L.L.C.) was founded as a limited liability company in 1990 by Amiri Decree No. sh/10/90 as an outcome of the successful business initiatives of our chairman, Mr. Ghanim Saeed Matar AlSuwaidi, who founded his first company in 1968 thereafter adding many other successful business firms. The main objective of the newly established Sharjah-based company was to trade in petroleum products in the local market and provide bunkering services. By supplying products to the various sectors of the national economy, the Company played a significant supporting role in the development of the United Arab Emirates.

Over the years, Gulf Energy Limited (L.L.C.) witnessed steady and vigorous growth in both the markets served and the types of products offered. Our presence has extended to cover the GCC and as far away as East Africa and the Indian Ocean Rim. We currently deliver more than 18 million barrels of various petroleum products annually. Our success is the result of a thorough understanding of the industry, commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation to market change.
