Qatar Metal Industries (QMI) is a product of 30 years of cumulative experience in architectural and engineered metal products. It was founded in UAE in 2007 with the vision of meeting the growing demands of fire rated metal products in the market such as doors and frames, cabinets and access panels. QMI is committed to providing an excellent service to clients by giving only the highest quality products.

In 2007, after a thorough research and development about steel fabrication, QMI factory was launched with more or less 15 employees including office staff and production workers. The first year was spent acquiring certification from different testing bodies and agencies not only in UAE but also in nearby GCC countries such as Qatar.

In 2008, QMI got its first big project which paved way for bigger projects not only in UAE but also in Qatar. One project was followed by another.

In 2009, QMI was a recognized member of NFPA in addition to the certification from Warrington fire Middle East.

In early 2010, QMI got its EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certifications. The same year, QMI was also able to build partnership in Oman which was followed by Saudi Arabia in 2011. QMI was also listed by Intertek to have met the standards for UL 10(c)/NFPA 252 in steel doors fabrication. An office branch in Qatar was also launched to focus on Qatar based projects.

During the last quarter of 2011, the QMI wood division was opened to accommodate the demands in fire rated wooden doors and frames and other carpentry and joinery works.

It is one of the most reliable metal and wooden architectural products manufacturers, by using only the highest quality materials and best manufacturing techniques.

To become more competitive in the market, Qatar Metal Industries started to widen the scope of manufacturing from steel doors and frames to manufacturing of 30-120 minutes of fire rated and non-fire rated timber doors, cabinetry and wall paneling.

At present, QMI had produced thousands of doors and frames to different prestigious projects in UAE, nearby GCC and African countries for different building applications. QMI has also strong partnership with its official agents in Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain. It now employs over a hundred employees and is continuously serving its clients with nothing but the best products.
