Representative Office in Abu Dhabi

Most large companies have representative office in Abu Dhabi. Representative office exists only for the purpose of promotional business. They promote the products and services offered by the parent company. Such an office cannot market its product directly or conduct business operation. Companies that want to operate a representative office in in Abu Dhabi have to submit a bank guarantee of AED 50,000 in favour of the ministry responsible for license processing procedure. The licence to operate a representative office is valid for two years. It has to be renewed before the expiry of the tenure to prevent cancellation of the licence. Failure to do so will result in deducted from the guarantee.
