About Arabic Calligraphy
Arabic Calligraphy is a term that is used to denote the decorated scripts of Arabic. The Arabic script finds its roots in the Nabataean or the Canaanite script. The development of the Arabic script as it is today covers a millennium. The First Arabic Script that was the Musnad script which was practiced from the 5th century to the 6th century was followed by the Al Jazm script and both these scripts were influenced by the Nabataen and the Syrian scripts.
