About Recycling

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new objects or reusable products. It improves ecological balance as it is an environment-friendly way to create new products without impacting the environment. Recycling plants are set up to convert used and discarded products into usable products. Materials such as plastic, paper, aluminium and glass can be recycled. Recyclable paper waste includes books, newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes and envelopes. Recyclable plastic waste includes items such as plastic bags, water bottles, rubber bags and plastic wrappers. Glass waste such as broken bottles, beer or wine bottles can be processed and converted into reusable glass items. Aluminium waste such as soda cans, soft drink cans and other discarded aluminium products can be converted into aluminium foils.

A recycling unit is integrally designed to process different types of materials. Recycling has a wide range of benefits which include environmental protection, conservation of natural resources, saving energy efficiency and creating jobs. Recyclable waste products are either burned up or protected in a landfill, therefore, reducing pollution of land, air water or soil. Recycling conserves natural resources by reducing dependency on natural resources and saves energy efficiently. By saving natural resources production of resources are more energy efficient and the cost of products will come down effectively as the use of natural resources are limited.

Recycling plants use different methods to recycle waste collection, transportation and storage. Used paper is exposed to the process of collection, transportation, re-pulping, screening, de-inking, refining, bleaching, colour stripping and papermaking. A recycling machine consists of different chambers which perform different operations. The collection chamber collects and sorts the paper waste and filters them from other contaminants. It is later moved into the paper grinding machine which is also known as the pulper. In this machine, the paper is chopped and mixed with water or chemicals and heated to a certain degree to break it down to an organic fibre material. It is then passed through a screen or a filter to remove contaminants such as plastic and glue.

Companies offer other types of recycling services which include plastic recycling, metal recycling, wood recycling, glass recycling, textile recycling, inert waste recycling and concrete recycling. They use different machines to convert different types of used material into reusable material. Some companies use bio-degradable waste to convert them into useful material. Some popular locations to get in touch with companies which provide recycling services in Dubai are Sheikh Zayed road, AL Quoz Industrial area, Garhoud, Al Barsha and Karama.
