Tensile Fabric Structures in Fujairah

Designing of interesting roof forms have become possible with the use of tensile fabric structures in Fujairah. These structures have been used in buildings since 1970s. Today they are used to give dramatic forms to architectural works. They offer variety to roofing forms in terms of translucency, colour, clear span and softness. Tensile fabric structures are lightweight and can be created into three dimensional forms by applying tension. Tensile structures are usually supported by as masts, rings or beams which work as compression or bending elements. These structures are resistant to fire, rain, sun and wind. They are also resistant to damage caused by blunt objects, but not to sharp ones.
