About Artificial Marble
Artificial Marble
Artificial Marble is a low-maintenance non-porous synthetic stone material, generally used for surfaces like kitchen countertops. Professional designs can manufacture, process and provide seamless finished countertops, that are not only functional but also attractive. Synthetic marble is engineered and produced to mimic the appearance of marble, granite and other naturally occurring stone. During production, a carefully measured mixture of fillers like crushed marble, marble powder, quartz powder, etc., pigments for color, and binders is made. Different types of binders are used in the production of various types of artificial marble. Some common binders include cement, acrylic and polyester resin.
Some types of artificial marble include cement, composite and polyester artificial marble and sintering process artificial marble. Each type of engineered stone requires a different production procedure, to process, cure and provide finished marble tiles, slabs, and blocks. Generally, the mixture of binders, fillers, and pigments is cast-molded, cured, cut, treated and polished, and later supplied or installed. Most manufacturers use a special polyester resin with intense strength and low viscosity properties. The use of this resin results in a low water absorptive, high corrosion resistant, and low maintenance final product, with a quality glossy finish.
Because artificial marble is easy to mold into custom shapes and designs, they are preferred in the production of marble arches, custom designs, and aesthetic marble statues and structures. With their low-maintenance requirements, and high quality, strength, and durability and low maintenance requirements, artificial marble is used in a large number of homes and offices across the globe. Manufacturers and suppliers deal with high-quality seamless counter tops, custom mold production and quality standard slabs, blocks, and tiles. These businesses operate out of facilities in Al Buhaira Corniche, Wasit Road, Hamriyah Free Zone and the around Industrial Areas in Sharjah.
