About Swimming Pool

A swimming pool is structurally designed to hold water for swimming, diving and other leisure activities. They can be designed in different shapes, sizes and volumes to suit different needs and budgets respectively. They come in a wide range of attractive finishes and a variety of colour options. Swimming pool contractors use concrete with plaster, aggregate finish, alternative finish or vinyl finish in constructing swimming pools. The most preferred finish is the vinyl finish as it is easy to install and comes with strong supporting walls that are made of cast aluminium or reinforced steel.

Above ground swimming pools are one of the most affordable pools, they can be easily installed or transported to different locations. They are designed using fibreglass composites or vinyl materials since they are pre-fabricated they take less time to install. Vinyl lined pools can be tailored to any size or shape, they comprise of concrete, plastic or steel walls. They are constructed with metal or plastic frames above the ground and set into an excavated hole. The frames are made up of plastic steel or aluminium for better support and a finishing edge is made by coping the top vinyl liner. Concrete swimming pools can be customized in different ways, you can choose the size shape and depth of your pool and also add attractive features such as vanishing edges, steps and beach entries or rocks.

You can also choose between different finishing options such as ceramic tiles, natural pebble, coloured quartz, epoxy resin paints etc. Fibreglass composite swimming pools are best suited for hard to access areas. Some of them have different options for water features, in-floor cleaning, built in spa pool or built-in Jacuzzi. They are constructed and sold as a large one-piece shell which is transported to your home and positioned into an excavated hole. They are ready-made unlike concrete pools and are available in many models for you to choose from. Fibreglass pools are commonly used in spas, resorts and other similar areas. They are coated with an insulation material which prevents leakage and corrosion.

A swimming pool designer constructs different types of pools such as lap pool, diving pool, above ground pool, athletic pool and much more. Lap pools are constructed to conduct sporting and recreational events. They are 25 metres in breadth, 50 metres in length and are 8 to 9 feet deep. The pool is designed to elevate from 8 feet in depth to three feet in depth from the deep end to the shallow end. Lap pools are constructed with allocated racing lanes which are denoted using dark blue tiles on light blue tiles. These lines can help swimmers focus on swimming. Swimming pool constructors design diving pools which are 25 meters in length and breadth and 5 to 6 meters deep. They also construct diving boards, diving platforms and diving towers next to diving pools.
