Grease is a lubricant manufactured with oil, a thickening agent, and additives. Grease consists of 75 to 90% of oil. ‘Grease’, is also a term used to describe any semisolid lubricant. Grease is not only used as lubricants in machinery but they can also be used as sealants to prevent the entry of water and other incompressible materials. The use of grease as a lubricant reduces the wear and tear and ensures a longer service life of the machinery.
