Hammer Unions in Sharjah

About Hammer Unions

Hammer unions are pipe connectors which are designed to hold liquids of different densities. They are high-pressure flowline connectors which are used in chemical plants, marine dredging vessels, strip mines and the oil industry. Hammer union manufacturers colour code the connectors as this systems is used to denote the pressure tolerance of the union. Hammer unions come in different shapes and sizes and are designed to hold pressures ranging from 1,000 PSI to 15,000 PSI depending on the configuration of the union. Low-pressure hammer unions are used to transport liquids of low densities such as tank truck transfer, running air, water or gas transfer of up to 2,000 PSI. They can also be used to transfer low-pressure steam, air, water, glycol or gas. Hammer unions consist of an O shaped ring which is mounted on a machined groove for secure sealing.

A lip type seal ring is attached to a hammer union to minimize fluid pressure when a pressure seal is created. High-pressure hammer unions are used in mud lines, main fold applications and truck mounting applications which run air, water pressurized steam etc. They can sustain a fluid pressure of up to 6,000 PSI. A lip type seal minimizes fluid turbulence by creating a high-pressure seal which enables it to transport highly inflammable substances. Most hammer unions are resistant to corrosion and excess heat. They can be used to transport high pressurized steam, acid and other corrosive substances. Some popular locations to get in touch with retailers who sell hammer unions in Sharjah are SAIF zone, Industrial area 5, behind Eppco petrol station, Rolla, Industrial area 13, Salam Street and Corniche road.
