About Stainless Steel Hoses

Stainless steel hoses are known for their enhanced durability, resistance to high pressure and corrosive chemicals. They are made up of various types of stainless steel alloys such as iron, chromium, nickel etc. Some commonly used hoses include stainless steel braided hose, corrugated stainless steel hose, flexible stainless steel hose and high-pressure stainless steel hose. Other stainless steel hoses include jacketed hose, seismic joints, annular stainless steel hose, monel metallic hose, convoluted bitumen hose, interlocked bitumen hose and strip wound stainless steel hose. Stainless steel braided hoses have excellent compatibility and are reinforced with other metal alloys to tackle corrosive chemicals. Their low friction minimizes pressure drops and the risk of garbage deposits. It helps resist moisture and can be operated at a maximum working pressure of 3,000 psi. Stainless steel braided hoses are used in oil burner boilers, fuel lubricators, oil skid valves, coolant lines, fuel control valves and high-pressure steam lines. They are also used in gas analyser systems, instrument test equipment and compressed air discharge tubes. Annular corrugated stainless steel hoses are designed in different patterns and come in varied thickness. They are designed to withstand a maximum pressure of 16,400 psi and can withstand a maximum temperature of 850 degrees Fahrenheit.

Corrugated stainless steel hoses are also known as convoluted metal hose and are designed without external braiding. They are used to absorb vibration, correct misalignments, thermal expansion, excess contraction and protecting equipment from excesses motion. Corrugated stainless steel hoses are constructed by butt welding stainless steel or using annular close pitch corrugations. Some commonly used stainless steel hoses are unbraided hose, single braided hose and double braided hose. Flexible stainless steel hoses are used in bathroom plumbing equipment and small industrial applications.

Strip wound hoses are constructed by winding a cold rolled steel strip into a mandrel which is interconnected with helical coils. Most strip wound hoses are made up of galvanized steel, stainless steel or brass which is coated with nickel or chromium. They have a very high tensile strength, transversal pressure resistance, increased torsional strength and are resistant to corrosion and thermal. Strip wound hoses are used in automotive engineering, aerospace field and heavy construction equipment. They are designed to transport high-pressure fluid, hot oily liquids and corrosive chemicals or acids at high pressure. Stainless steel hoses are used to protect light conductors, electrical lines, high-pressure chambers and vacuum chambers. Some popular locations to get in touch with stainless steel hose retailers and manufacturers in Sharjah are SAIF zone, behind Eppco petrol station Industrial area 5, Rolla, King Faisal road and Industrial area 13.
