About Fabrics

Fabrics in Dubai are sold by a number of manufacturers. It is a lucrative and resourceful sector. The manufacturers use latest technologies to produce various fabrics such as cotton, polyester, polyester rayon, polyester viscose, jacquards, velvet spun, printed and plain dyed fabrics, among others. Most companies have their own stitching and weaving mills. The mills are strategically located so that they have sufficient power, trained labour, and easy logistics support. The raw material is often imported from neighbouring countries, and hence logistics connections are important while setting up a mill. Some manufacturers produce customised fabrics based on the client’s requirement. They may also take care of dyeing, coating and finishing of both woven and non-woven fabrics
