Steel Bars
Steel bars are of two types: mild steel bars and deformed bars. Mild steel bars have high tensile strength and a smooth finish and are used to reinforce cement concrete. They are manufactured in long lengths and can be easily cut and bent. Deformed steel bars, on the other hand, do not have a smooth finish and are manufactured with lugs or deformations on the surface. These deformations are made on the bar at regular distances on the surface of the bar. Deformed steel bars have a higher tensile strength than mild steel bars and are best suited for construction work.
