About System Integrator

System Integrator

System Integration is an IT or engineering process which involves merging or combining various system components to perform as one complete system. System Integrators are responsible for providing a complete range of solutions from designing and building integrated systems to after-sale maintenance and system modification. Their services include designing systems, merging subsystems, programming, installation and maintenance. System Integration increases the value of systems while increasing the capabilities and functionality of a system.

System Integration, and the methods used in combining system components that cooperate to improve system functionality has been top-priority in technology-based industries over the last decade. In simple terms, system integration is a modular approach used in system design and system production. Integration spans across various fields of specialization and expertise from system design and programming to hardware engineering. A system integrator has a special set of attributes that include a range of skill and expertise. Some of the most common methods of system integration include horizontal integration, vertical integration, star integration and common data format.

The horizontal method of integration is used in the production of systems with components or subsystems that require a single system interface. Horizontal integration is also termed as ESB or Enterprise Service Bus. Vertical integration integrates components in a vertical stack, forming a silo of functional subsystems. The most basic function subsystem forms the base of the silo, and more complex components are added to the stack. While this method is the most inexpensive and requires fewer system integrators, adding components would require rebuilding a completely new silo. The star Integration method is used to connect each component with several other components, forming a star design in the way information is exchanged. However, when many components are used, the connections like spaghetti, which is why this method is also called spaghetti integration. Common Data Format integration uses a common format for all the data and information passed between components, avoiding the need for data conversion and translation within the system.

These system Integration techniques are widely used by system integrators to provide corporates, government and private clients with customized systems and applications. The services of a system Integrator are in high demand on a global scale, especially in the Emirates like Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These services meet business, personal and public needs, offered by service providers in JLT and on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, Bateen Street in Abu Dhabi, and across Sharjah and the other Emirates.
