About Gas Regulators

Gas Regulator in Dubai, UAE

A gas regulator is an important part of many gas appliances and heating systems. It's a bit like advanced technology in a pressure gas regulator. What it does is pretty straightforward: it takes in gas at a high pressure and then reduces it to a lower pressure that we can use. The way it works is simple. The gas goes through an opening that's not blocked by a part called the 'poppet'. As the gas pressure increases in the low-pressure area, it pushes against a flexible part called the 'diaphragm'. This in turn closes the gap between the plug and the hole allowing less and less gas to throw. LPG gas, natural gas or propane gas uses gas regulators for applications like gas fire water heaters, gas ranges or gas furnaces.

Different applications use different types of gas regulators. There are several types of gas pressure regulators available in the market. They are

  • Appliance Regulators - 325 series regulator
  • Line Pressure Regulators - expensive regulators because of their material anddesign

They come with an iodized coat to prevent corrosion. A poorly sized gas pressure regulator can end up having lock-up pressure. When the regulator has lock up pressure they stop the gas flow through them. If you have a faulty regulator and want to replace it, contact the listed supplier for gas pressure regulator replacement.
